Guatin - Gatchi Hike

We’ll journey to Guatín, situated at an elevation of 3215 meters above sea level. Within this ravine, we’ll encounter a multitude of towering cacti known as cardones, some of which reach heights surpassing 4 meters. Tracing the path of the Vilama River, we’ll traverse the vicinity amidst cacti adorning the cliffs. Our descent along the river’s eastern bank will offer expansive vistas of the Salar de Atacama. Our hike will culminate at Gatchi, from where we’ll return via vehicle to Altiplanico Atacama.
